Oh boy!. My friend Trey has the “John Wayne” tiger stripe repros back in stock. The “John Wayne Dense” pattern is probably the most famous among non-collectors and experts. Being the pattern worn in the movie The Green Berets. Collectors on the more pretentious and technical side refer to it as classic or Okinawa pattern, from where it was originally made.

It’s 195 for the set. I know that sounds as high a George Flyod but you get what you pay for and it’s made to look, feel and fit correct. Trey’s tiger stripes are excellent and the JWD sells out fast, I wasn’t even able to get a set last time.

John Wayne Dense Tiger Stripe Set. These are the classic “advisor” pattern and are the “Anglo” cut with US Sizes. True to originals, these are more slim fitting than many of the repros on the market. This run is part of a limited partnership and available solely through us in the US. These have incredible detail including color, medium to heavy twill fabric, dish buttons, green thread, and simple ink stamp for size in garment.
