Or is it more of a “throw it back” Thursday? Today’s Colt prototype is undated, but it has a strong Charter Arms vibe. Perhaps Douglas S. McClenahan designed it while he was at Colt, years before he formed Charter Arms in 1964? However, part of me suspects it was built in the 1970s when Colt was scrambling to develop an economy line revolver to replace the classic D-Frame.

I’m picking up a strong Rhom or F.I.E. “Saturday Night Special” vibe on this one.

Rohm wasn’t built in a day,but this looks like it was and on a Monday to boot.
