Colt GCNM by Cylinder and Slide pistolsmith Ralph Gutenkunst. This pistol was submitted for his admission the the American Pistolsmiths Guild. Bomar burried sight, Barsto hard fit barrel, hand checkering, slide to frame weld up, checkering fore, aft, and rear of the slide, flattened and serrated top, flared and lowered ejection port— this one just does it for me. With this submission, his admission to the guild was a lock—it’s no easy task (for anyone but Hoag) to weld up a GCNM slide to drop in a Bomar. This one now shod in creamy white mammoth ivory that I just hand filed an Ambi into, like I was Andy Dufresne chiseling my way out of Shawshank.
