The Death of Bonnie and Clyde: On the night of their demise Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were shot by 112 rounds of ammunition by Louisiana and Texas lawmen. Bonnie Parker had received 26 entrance wounds while Barrow had received 17. In their stolen Ford V8 coupe authorities retrieved an assortment of firearms ranging from BARs, a shotgun, a revolver, and 3 1911s. One of those 1911s was in Bonnie’s lap as she was sitting in the car, it was the one pictured above; metallic silver finish with mother of Pearl grips. The gun belonged to Clyde and was his personal favorite, chambered in .45ACP but Bonnie had an affinity for it and often made use of it in their criminal activities. The story of these two is eternal and it’s quite interesting and dare I say fitting, that these lovebirds have quite a love for the 1911 platform. A gun for both lawmen and the average Joe to wield for good or in unfortunate circumstances, evil.
