Gorgeous Colt series 70 1911 in 45 ACP by old school pistol-smith Don Judd out of Midland Texas. This gun’s nickel emits a yellow hue which absolutely glows. This gun oozes soul and it’s all there for me—low mount Bomar, square and hand checkered trigger guard, ring hammer, beaver tail, and snugged up NM barrel. Judd was a petroleum engineer by trade and built guns on the side. He used to advertise in American Handgunner for many years and after suffering a stroke in the late 80’s he stopped pistolsmithing and moved to rifles instead. He passed away in 2010 at the age of 75. Reposted cause no chance I was going to neglect finding a set of skip line D45 Herrets for this gun. Yes those are Colt 1911 cuff links gifted to me by my boy Rex-kwon-do
