I met the man back in 2016 at the NRA meeting in Louisville. We were both staying in the same hotel. He very much liked my Dad’s orange Dodge Challanger and was well on his way to being drunk. He was very nice and even took a picture with me which is now lost thanks to a crashed laptop. He will be missed.
In his thirty years of reporting the shooting sports, Jim played a pivotal role in the industry and will be greatly missed.

Dang.
As that cranky old bastidge who ran Precision Shooting magazine used to say at times like this, “We are diminished.”
