Some how, unbeknownst to me until now, a long time IPSC shooter lives just up the road from me. How we did not meet I have no idea. The gentleman is 70 and lived here all of our lives. How we did not hear of each other back int he late 80s when I shot IPSC locally, I have no clue. Probably because I was a teen and still too young and supple for him to care about. A not unheard of trait among that generation. No offense to you Boomers, I love you guys.
Anyway. He loaned this one out to one of my best friends who has recently gotten serious into competitive shooting. My friend is several years younger than me with better eyeballs. I am afraid my days of competition shooting are over. Age has caught up with, and over taken my skills. I still have my good days and I can still shoot but not as fast as I use to and with a lot more eye strain. Boohoo.
This is the fellow’s Sig 320 Max which I was told he has over 4500 dollars invested in.

Not being a 1911 guy and never having used a truly custom and slicked up competition 1911, my friend was very impressed with this guns trigger and reset. And for a striker fired gun it was pretty sweet. But I chuckled a little over how impressed he was with it. Sorry zoomers, no striker fired gun will ever have a trigger as good as even a decent 1911.
This gun is very slick though. It has all the bells and whistles you’d want and more. Even I have to admit it was sweet. Obviously or I wouldn’t have went through the trouble of telling you about it.

Who did the custom work? For 4500 bucks it better be oozing molasses sweet, so I wonder what kinda work it took to run up that kinda bill.

I don’t know. he mentioned it and the swapped out parts but to be honest i don’t give enough of a shit about SIG to have paid much attention. Taking the pictures for the website was an after thought.

It’s just that I’m looking at that contraption and just not seeing where forty-five hundred bucks went.
