Coming up on two years of having and using this vintage Don Hume holster I got from my good friend Jason and Vintage Gunleather Today. I had wanted a nice outside the belt paddle type holster I could use to just slip in my pants when doing stuff around the house or walking the dog etc. Jason suggested these NOS holsters and it looked like just the thing.

Turns out it was. I liked it a lot more than I anticipated. I have ended up wearing this almost every day. I maybe use my Milt Sparks holster twice a month now and the Hume the rest of the time. It’s that good.

The leather on this thing is exceptional. Thick and high quality. Nothing has started to sag or loosen up.

It rides up against the body tighter and better than Bianchi or Galco OWB holster and some inside the belt.

Jason said people ask him why it was discontinued if it was so good and popular. Well, it wasn’t because it wasn’t selling. It was because it cost too much to make back then, The leather quality and craftsmanship made it too expensive for the nylon ballistic holster, open carrying in Walmart crowd.

Jason specializes in finding NOS vintage high quality holsters. Old school cool and old school quality. Sorry, no kydex plastic for your plastic pistol there.

You should check his stuff out if you like this kind of thing. Also Karl at KGB Customs has been selling vintage guns and often has new Milt Sparks summer special holsters he orders from Sparks, Often you can get one from him fast than you can get one from Milt Sparks.
