You hear a lot about how great Swiss made stuff is, ammo included. The GP-11 is unquestionably excellent. As good as any Federal Gold Medal Match 308 even. But how is the 5.56MM?

A friend gave me a box of it he had to try out. Unlike him, I wasn’t going to blast it at steel targets I had to find out how it grouped for accuracy of course!

I got out my most accurate AR15, the MK12 MOD 1 with Douglas match barre and SSA trigger with 10X Leupold and tried it out at 100 yards. I set the gun up on a bench with sandbags and gave it all my effort. You can see the two 10 shot groups below. Less than impressive. I have seen Lake City M193 and Winchester Q3131 shoot better.
