Springfield Armory compensated .45 ACP by legendary IPSC shooter and gunsmith Jeff Wassom out of Austin Texas. Jeff famously made guns for shooting legend Chip McCormick. This surgically crafted instrument (with the best trigger I have ever felt) is now freshened with a re-blue and shod in desert ironwood grips by Jon Aho. Here’s a quick public service announcement: Don’t ever wear a metal ring when you are shooting a checkered 1911–it will blunt pointed checkering. The wedding ring you see in this picture is plastic…because I am a proper steward of these guns.
