From 1911_purview

A few years back @texaspatriotarms posted a Colt 1911 built by Mike Padgett (MP Customs out of Linton Indiana) and I swore right then and there I was going to buy it from him. Well,he wouldn’t sell it. This was curious to me–after all, he is a high end 1911 dealer, selling 1911s is his business. But what does that tell you? So I went to work on Padgett. “No more Colts!” he said. How about a straight Colt? “Maybe” he said, “I’d have to see it.” After one failed attempt, and a sent back gun, I found a straight(ish) Colt. This gun is kinda everything. Kart hard fit pipe, low mount adjustable Bomar, checkering everywhere, ball cuts, French borders, impeccably blended beaver tail, expertly dehorned slide…I could go on for days. This pony is shod in best grade cocobolo grips by Craig Spegel, because we are not animals. Stop wasting your money on plastic guns. Pick up the phone and order a custom 1911 today. Your great grandchildren will thank you. The bushing wrench in the first picture is prototype made by industry savant Brandon Bunker. Why the hell did you manufacture a bushing wrench I asked him. Well, he said, this one is polyethylene terephthalate with 17% infused carbon fiber. Of fucking course it is LOL. It’s actually pretty amazing, it doesn’t have that cheap plastic feeling of the injection molded Brownells ones. Suffice it to say, I just threw away all of my other (loose as a Las Vegas slots) bushing wrenches. If I’m being honest, Bunker should really be working on cancer, not bushing wrenches
