This Infinity

was built by 2009 APG pistolsmith of the year Mark Morganti (Gemini Customs) out of Frankfort Kentucky. I’ve wanted a gun by Morganti for years, but Gemini is focused on building the worlds best custom Ruger and S&W wheel guns, so they are no longer taking 1911 work. After Mark retired as a Army Blackhawk crew chief, he bought himself a 1911 as a retirement present. He was less than impressed with what he got, so he took a few 1911 classes (taught by Jack Weigend) and machining classes through a local community college, and the rest is history as they say. In 1997 he hung a shingle and began making some of the nicest 1911‘s of the time. Ironwood grips by my man Job Aho. Swipe left to see a picture of Marc. It reminds me of a joke. A guy walks into a psychiatrist’s office with a bird on his head and Psychiatrist says “what seems to be the problem.” The bird says “you gotta help me doc I can’t get this guy off my ass.”
