Absolutely gorgeous Colt 70 series 1911 in .45 ACP by Tim Brian aka CT Brian. His aesthetic is classic meets contemporary, but unlike many smiths who emulate others, his style is quintessentially his and his alone. You never see a picture of a CT Brian and think “gee I wonder who made that?” When you know, you know, and if you don’t know, now you know. Tim’s build board is forever closed, because last year he left us for a better world…and we are diminished. I hope this American art form never dies, because like jazz, it is ours and ours alone.
