Solid choices. I’d have picked a .45 auto because 10mm has never been on my radar screen, but that’s just me.

45 would be a smarter choice. 10mm is easier to find now than it was back then

    Sidearm: Glock 17, carried strong-side.
Long gun: Rem 870 with as long a magazine tube as I can find—Full of 00 buck with slugs in the side saddle.
Vehicle: LOL—a Vette? Only TV cops drive Corvettes. Your choices as a detective in 1987 (if you had any choice at all) would have been Chevy Impala, Ford Crown Victoria or Ford LTD. I’d take the LTD as the least worst option.

Ok, looks like I got cast as the strait-laced cop who can’t abide your unconventional methods. We get in a shouting match at the end of Act I. Nevertheless I will respond to your radio call and take out the two minions with blasts from my shotgun and will distract the villain just long enough for you to put all three from your CAR-15 burst into him. He looks surprised while he dies and you say something pithy.
