I got lucky with this recent find. It’s crazy stuff still turns up in this condition and this vintage.

The M56 cover is from 1967, the year my Dad went to Vietnam. Camera flash makes it look more faded in places than the naked eye. This thing is still a rich, dark green.

The canteen and cup are from 1965. How does stuff sit around in some house so long all these years then some hick find it and put it out on a table beside the road ?

I got it all for 20 bucks and the guy thought he really got one over on me. I could tell by how he smirked to his brother when I handed over the 20 dollar bill. Guy had no idea he gave me 100 dollars worth of vintage Vietnam militaria.

I picked up a WW2 black enamel canteen this last weekend for 10, two M14 stocks for 25 a pop and a bunch of other stuff. Gotta love garage/estate sales

This weekend was a bit slow, but did find a pair of lightly used USMC Danner Boots that fit perfectly for me for 10 bucks at a garage sale
