In todays video we cover the wildly popular Model 28 better know as the Highway Patrolman. Loved by Law Enforcement as an affordable option into the .357 Magnum. It served as a reliable and powerful workhorse for many departments from the 1950’s well into the 1990’s.
I had a model 27 N-Frame back in the day, and it was a damn fine gun. If you wanted to impress someone with the size of your gun it was a good way to go!

watching Nelson’s videos has really made me want to get a nice Smiff pretty soon

I have a 610 (10 mill, no lock) that’s looking for a good home. Drop me a line if you’re interested.

Hurry up because they ain’t gettin’ any cheaper.
I’ve always been able to shoot Colt revolvers fairly well but Smiff’s just seem to be easier to hit with for me. I’ve had three 28’s. I traded the first one off and regretted it immediately and it didn’t take me long to replace it. The third one followed me home because it had Fuzzy Farrant grips on it, the kind that the frame had to be clipped to fit the grips. Very comfortable in my hands but perhaps not for everyone.

I have no idea what I will get. Maybe a .41 magnum

Never had a .41 but everyone I know who has/had one loved theirs, without exception. I do intend to have a Model 58 one of these days.
