From 1911_purview
OG 70 series 1911 Colt in slow moving .45 ACP by my man Bobby Cogan out of Newville Alabama. It’s all there for me—welded and snugged up factory Colt barrel, beaver tail grip safety, Swenson ambi safety, front and rear cocking serrations, checkered front strap, MSH, and rear of the slide, gross Millet rear site, 3 hole Greider trigger, magwell, and BLACK CHROME (not blue) slide over brushed hard chrome by the plating master himself. This isn’t the most refined 1911 in my employ, so why do I love it so goddamn much? In the timeless Christmas movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” Clarence finally becomes an angel when he gets his wings. In my safe, a 1911 gets its wings when it finds its forever Spegels…no matter how battleworn they are. I’d send them back to Craig to refresh the finish, but he’s mad at me right now. I’ll give it 4-6 months and then hit him up.
