From 1911_purview

About a year ago I found this stainless 1911 chambered in 9mm at a local gun store. It’s bald as a newborn baby, with not one millimeter of checkering anywhere. Front strap, bald. Main spring housing, bald bald. Mag release, like a cue ball. At least the top of the slide is lined and the barrel hood is jeweled. I respected the dude’s commitment to making this combat weapon as slippery as possible in a hot sweaty hand. WTF? So why did I buy it. The slide to frame fit is maybe the most exacting I had ever felt and the Kart match grade barrel was masterfully hard fit. It feels like an Italian Pardini racking the slide. I cleaned it up and dropped in this beautiful trigger sent to me by my friend @brandanbunker. Committed to the theme of making it the most slippery pistol on earth, I wrapped her in mammoth grips. Why? Honestly, I like how the arc in the dyed cross cut pattern mirrors the exact radius of the Bunker trigger. That’s just how my brain works. So here it is, a Caspian made slicker than chicken grease on monkey bars, made by a true American. John “Andy” Anderson spent 25 years in the U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets), retiring at the rank of Sergeant Major. During that time he was a demolitions expert, an instructor at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School, hand to hand combat instructor, military freefall instructor, and taught weapons and tactics. He served three tours in Vietnam, working with such elite units as CCN (Command and Control North) and the Mike Force (Mobile Strike Force) as part of MACV/SOG. After leaving the military he spent ten years with the U.S. Department of Energy as a lieutenant, training and supervising the nuclear weapons security teams at the Rocky Flats Nuclear Arsenal. After 9-11 he founded the Archangel Anti-Terror Group, a non-profit agency that provides counter-terrorism training, consulting and related services to U.S. law enforcement, military andgovernment agencies. Additionally Anderson owns and continues to operate Andy’s Custom Guns. He is a former world combat pistol champion and benchpress record holder
