Several people were killed and others injured Wednesday by a man with a bow and arrow in Norway, according to authorities who arrested the alleged attacker.
Well, what is there to say about that? Assault bows need to be banned in Europe. As do the 80 percent bows, AKA trees.
Armed with the Robin Hood-style weapon, the unidentified assailant allegedly walked around wreaking havoc on the small town of Kongsberg on Wednesday night, said local Police Chief Øyvind Aas.
The let a man walk around with sticks and some string and kill people. Norway sure is a weird place.
“The man has been apprehended … from the information we now have, this person carried out these actions alone,” Aas said, according to the UK Guardian. “Several people have been injured and several are dead.”
He declined to say how many fatalities but noted there were “several crime scenes” that emerged as the assailant moved around the city, shooting arrows at people.
A large swath of the town, located 50 miles outside the country’s capital, Oslo, had been roped off Wednesday night after armed cops and helicopters rushed to the scene.
The injured victims were taken to a hospital and the city’s crisis team was helping others in distress on Wednesday.
Maybe those Rambo movies aren’t so far fetched after all.
