The Top Men. in Tuscan did their duty by shooting a man in a wheel chair that brought a knife to a gunfight.

This is serious business, so I don’t want to read any comments about ” why didn’t they shoot him in the leg?” or jokes about pit maneuver, shooting out the tires or using spike strips.
Honestly, though, this is a bad shoot. I can think of several ways to have have ended this without having to shoot this crazy shitbag.
I think we should have a lot more tolerance for cops knocking people around (including educational beat downs) and a lot less tolerance for cops killing or grievously injuring people.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Night stick across the back of the head would have ended that easily

Yup. Night sticks and batons got de facto banned after the highly telephobic Rodney King beat down. Yuge mistake IMHO.
Don’t break any bones or put out any eyes, but cops should feel free to be violent with recalcitrant people like the dude on the fat lady scooter.
Or heck, the dude did have a *knife*. Go ahead and break his hand or his forearm. I’m not going to cry him any tears over that.
But shoot the guy? As Plan A? Come on.
