The Lee Jurras certainly wasn’t the inventor of the hollow point projectile, nor was he the father of handgun JHP. That said, he made some of the first that were reliable expanders. And he was the powerhouse that forced the major manufacturers to introduce their own JHP lines. Super Vel drove the lightweight, high velocity JHP craze that defined the meta for expanding handgun ammunition until the Fackler era.
