You never know what turned up in the Vietnam war. In this case the Vz58. I have to wonder how they kept the users supplied with a rifle that could not use the same mags as the Tye56/AK47.
I asked the members of the SOG group if any of them recall seeing one and none seem to remember seeing one.

Vz58 mags can be refilled w/ stripper clips like SKS. Truth be told, only need one mag and SKS chest rig.
BUT my understanding was North Vietnamese SF forces preferred the Vz58 to AK due to lighter weight in particular, including against China – Vietnam war that followed the US – Vietnam war…
