I spent a number of years (starting about the time Ruger stopped making them) wanting a 5.5″ Blued Redhawk 44 Magnum, never wanting bad enough to jump, but always admiring them . . . in the time since buying the lil Ruger 44 Special GP100, today I got this Magnum Blued Redhawk, and am happy with my choice for my casual plinking uses. Though the Redhawk is a attractive gun for the guy that wants a Magnum 44 DA he can use, a lot, 3# of steel and wood, they are robust guns.- Karl

A Redhawk in .44 Mag is a sweet piece.

I think a grip change does wonders for their appearance. Factory looks…like a S&W 10 with gigantism. Stick something like a Pachmayr Gripper on there and the proportions are better.
