John Wick had a puppy. A naughty man killed the puppy. A lot of people died. That’s pretty much the story of John Wick, which looks like it won’t be stopping any time soon.
The trailer isn’t giving much away, it’s pretty much the same as the other three, ‘John goes around killing everyone’, but, to be fair, it’s a thing that has worked up till now and most of them have been fun to watch. The storyline is:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) takes on his most lethal adversaries yet in the upcoming fourth installment of the series. With the price on his head ever increasing, Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin. Lionsgate presents, a Thunder Road Films / 87eleven production.
Chad Stahelski is back directing and joining Reeves this time are Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Lance Reddick, Rina Swaayama, Ian McShane, and Clancy Brown.
The original John Wick came out in 2014 and showed that you can make an original IP and make it a success, just get a good cast and make the action kickass.

It was made on a budget of about $20 million and took over $85 million at the box office before becoming massive on home rental and streaming. It had two more sequels, with this fourth chapter on the way. Reeves has also signed for a fifth one.

Ah, I dunno. The first one was great, but once the sequels got into all this mystic supernatural bullshit with gypsies and all that stuff they lost it for me.
And I know it’s a movie, but with all that shooting indoors with no earpro, John must be as deaf as a post by now.
