I have handled and fired 1911’s from both King and Bob Chow.
Full size and given the “Works” for a working pistol.
The one from King’s was a prewar .38 Super Match with a .45 ACP National Match Barrel and slide fitted.
So was the second ejector.
The Bob Chow also had a relieved and checkered MSH, that one was carried by a SFPD Homicide cop until he retired in the late 1970’s.
Jack Webb, RIP.
They are beautiful, reliable and amazingly accurate.
I grew up in the East SF Bay Area and these were the premiere local Gunsmiths of their day.
People who were particular about their sidearms kept those shops pretty busy and a lot of those guns survived in good shape.
As beautiful as they are functional.
