Very pretty Eddystone. However, I fail to see why this one is “rare” aside from parts that look like they escaped the parkerizing that occurred post war.
I had a chance at a nice one back in high school. A buddy was trying to get rid of it because he wanted a “superior” ‘03 Springfield. I agonized over it because $100 was a lot for me then…and decided I really wanted a Springfield too. Hindsight…
Hopefully I won’t get banned for relating this, but I wandered into CMP’s south store one afternoon about ten years ago and plucked an Eddystone off the rack, just about that nice, all matching and unmolested, and it followed me home.
