        The grips are unusual. I wonder who made them.

        Like those big counterbalanced weights that hang off the front of competition pistols? How do those attach? Do they clamp on to that doohickey almost like a pic rail? Or is the doohickey itself the weight?

          On second thought I think its a tension device. You can adjust it to apply more or less upward tension on the slide

            Well now, that’s an interesting concept. Would presumably give more consistent lockup and improved accuracy. First time I’ve ever seen such a thing.
