When only the finest of Rimfire Revolvers will do. . . . Freedom Arms 1997, optioned to the 9’s, with a Magnum Cylinder.-Karl

While I’m a committed revolver guy, there’s something about the looks of the Freedom ARMS guns that doesn’t appeal to me. While they’re clearly incredibly strong (look at that damn topstrap, on a .22LR!!) and well made and functional and will last forever, they’re just not graceful and attractive, like (I think) a revolver should be. Compare this gun to that Python you showed recently, and you might see what I mean.

That being said, if I wanted to knock out armoured vehicles or shoot dinosaurs with a handgun in some monstrously powerful chambering, a FA revolver would be my goto choice for the task.

Awww…thanks man! I really do appreciate it.

And I’m not saying they’re not fine guns, tbey sure are. It’s just they’re a bit too chunky for me. Some guys dig chubby chicks, some guys like bikini models…😊

Please keep the revolver love coming!

And not really related to that…I shot a PPC club championship match at my club with my revolver a few weeks ago, and beat my main rival, who used to be the captain of the Australian Army shooting team, so I was pretty pleased with myself.

We shot the match again today with semiautos this time , and I used my 9mm STI Targetmaster, and he beat me with his SIG P226 X6. He prefers semiautos, I prefer revolvers. I had a bigger margin with my revolver win though, so my combined score over the two matches beat his combined score by 3 points out of 3000 possible points, making me the overall PPC match champion for the year. By the smallest margin, but he shook my hand and said “A win is a win mate”.

Beating a bunch of expert gunslingers, along with a full colonel 40 year army veteran who used to be the best shot in the entire Australian Army (which has a lot of fucking good pistoleros and riflemen) doesn’t happen (at least for me) every day.

End of bragging. I just had to tell someone who’d understand, because my wife just nods, smiles lovingly and pats my hand when I explain such things to her. 😊

very well done my man. I also agree about the chunky blocky look of the Freedom Arms, thats the same thing wrong with the Ruger peacemaker clones in my opinion
