An old friend who is really into the Swiss K-31 finally tracked down a set of match diopter sights for one of his rifles. Long-range shooting is greatly improved by these precision sights, and we hope to get a review of them up soon

I have seen similar round front sights on other vintage target rifles that you’ve posted, Shawn. Are those front sights also an aperture? What does a sight picture look like through them? Is there a name for such sights that I could look up for more information? What are the pros and cons of such a sight versus, say, a small military-style aperture with a post front sight?

I assume these are similar to what I used in small bore and air rifle years ago. Likely has interchangeable inserts for the front sight – typically a circle matched to the target type and range for bullseye shooting. I’ve also seen posts and crosshairs for more general purpose applications.
