apparently it is pretty poisonous but you do have longer than 3 steps to live. Chalk that up there with the Mattel made M16s

Right, alleged, grunt superstition. I spent a good bit of time around Montagnards who showed them a lot of respect but were very spooked at kraits and would not go near one, alive or obviously very dead.
