After a slow start to the season due to extreme heat then me having to have a wisdom tooth yanked out, I am actually at a point that I have gotten more at this point than I did the year I took 100. You never know how a season will go. I do know I am not gonna try to get 100 again. I don’t even have a goal this year. It’s just going for fun and giving the meat to the poor people up the road.

As of 10-2-2023 I am at 44 so far.

I have been hunting a new place this year and there are a lot of Walnut trees. They are in the Walnuts big time right now.

Been using the Model 31 Lightweight a lot lately.. I shouldn’t since it is nearly mint but what else are they for if not for using? That shorter barrel and aluminum receiver make for a very light and handy package.
