Last year my friend @texaspatriotarms posted a Colt built by Mike Padgett (MP Customs out of Linton Indiana) and I swore right then and there I was going to buy it. Well, he wouldn’t sell it. This was curious to me. After all, he’s a high end 1911 dealer—selling 1911s is his business. What does that tell you? So I went to work on Padgett. “No Colts!” he said.
