Colt 70 series 1911 in .45 ACP —an absolutely drum tight (on Acurails) shooting machine with a Barsto hard fit barrel, hand checkering, blended beaver tail, and Bomar rear sight, by retired police officer Bill Thompson (Bill’s Custom Automatics). This gun came out of Anchorage Alaska, and was made by Bill when he lived there, prior to moving to Mississippi. The slide was engraved by his dear friend Jim White, who still lives in Alaska. Jim is a master engraver and the man behind Ed Brown’s beautiful Signature 1911s. I don’t typically mammoth 🦣 but this gun is from Alaska, so 10,000 year old tusk it is.
