I don’t know how many of you are familiar with kickstarter of Indiegogo but its a crowd funding websites where you give a creator money, and they use that money to make their project happen, Your reward for backing/investing in the project is that you get the project after it’s done and before the product is then offered to the general population. I have backed many projects on Indiegogo myself. I never back projects on kickstarter because kickstarter has terminated many crowdfunding campaigns over a difference in political values. Kickstarter’s staff is mostly far left. Don’t let that stop if from backing this book if you see fit but I did want you to know that ahead of time as Kickstarter does get a cut of the money raised of course.

This book written by Vlad Besedovskyy of Safar Publishing

Safar Publishing is delighted to announce the publication of Soviet Weapons of the Afghan War, the second work in our series. At the same time, this is the first volume in the newest book series from Safar Publishing, which comprehensively examines the arsenals that the Soviet Union developed and deployed.

“Soviet Weapons of the Afghan War” is a meticulously researched and visually captivating book that dives deep into the arsenal that played a pivotal role in the conflict. Unlike other books on firearms, we are not focusing on the characteristic tables and manufacturing details, but instead we write about the practical use of the weapons. A substantial amount of effort was devoted to the examination of memoirs and conducting interviews with veterans in pursuit of the completion of this publication.

The “Soviet Weapons of the Afghan War” is, perhaps, the most complete guide on the Soviet Weapons in the hot phase of the Cold War. And it is certainly the most well presented – all small arms and grenade launchers are professionally photographed and retouched. The manuscript also includes weapons, which are not to be seen in any other work – such rarities as RPG-16, folding-stock RPKS-74, APB silenced pistol and others.

Each chapter is a comprehensive exploration of a specific Soviet firearm, tracing its origins, modifications, and battlefield performance. Whether you’re a military history enthusiast, firearm collector, or just curious about this era, this book offers a unique blend of information and excitement.

Beyond the metal and machinery, discover the human stories behind these weapons. Hear from soldiers who relied on these firearms, and understand the impact they had on both sides of the conflict.
