This should be in Press Release but I have too much to say about it.
I’m sure there is some Gen Y or Zoomer out there that thinks this is the coolest thing. The ceremonial SIG. Looks its got wood grips! Very classy. It seems stupid to me. These mostly plastic things have no soul. And most importantly, they have not been in service long enough. They have no history, no soul. There is no legacy with these things that will probably be gone in 10 years. They are not 1911s. They don’t even have the history of the M9. What notable events have they been in ? The fall of Afghanistan?
Gun companies rush so hard these days to force history and respect onto us for new shit. Can’t wait for their product to pay it’s dues and rack up battle streamers. I guess that’s just the nature of modernity. Or, everyone knows collapse is upon us so why not try..
Anyway, I can’t wait to see one of these SIGs fall apart in a holster in the middle of a parade soon.
