Opening morning my first kill was that massive fox squirrel. Then that smaller gray.

Then I got this pair out of the same hickory tree, The first one I shot and thought I missed it clean some how. It ran up into the top of the tree and I waited for another shot.. About 3 minutes later it fell out of the tree deader than disco. I have never had that happen before. Skinning it at home showed I mostly peppered him from the mid back towards the tail.

As I was walking out of the hills, this fawn stood in the middle of the trail stomping it’s foot at me until i got within 25 yards.
