A yellow insert in the front sight? I thought I’d seen everything when it comes to iron sights, but this is a new one on me.

I just checked the rest of the pictures Karl took, including an up close shot of that front sight and it is definitely yellow. Maybe the original owner had color blindness and yellow was one of the few colors he could see sharply.
