As for the guns, I saw a Fitz special on the cover of one of the James Bond books many years ago when I was a newby gunslinger. It looked like a serious piece to me, *except* for cutting away the front of the trigger guard. I thought then, and 45 years later I still think that that hanging trigger guard just seems like something that’s gonna snag in your pocket lining on the draw (and reholster) like attaching a giant fish hook to your gun. If the justification is to allow for gloves, why not make a bigger trigger guard?
I don’t believe anybody else anywhere ever (that I know of) has promulgated this gun mod, and I reckon there’s a good reason for that.

Same here. I always thought that cut away trigger guard was dubious.

Exposing the trigger was always a dumb idea, even on single-action guns.
