I hope to own a Browning Hi-Power one day. I see them as being as iconic (well, maybe a little less) as the 1911.
The Browning was also the standard sidearm of the Australian army when I wore green, and the first handgun I ever shot at the ripe old age of 17, so lots of memories for me.
