All of that is pretty neat!

I bought a lightly used SP1 spring of 1985. Paid $450 including half a dozen USGI 20-round mags and a couple hundred rounds of TW72 M193 and a nice Koplin gun bag to carry everything in. My runnin’ buddy at the time thought that was too much and maybe he was right, but I did not care then nor do I now. Still have it and it still works as advertised.

I don’t know whether to be happy or sad if 2800 is the going rate these days. I haven’t been following them.

Oddly enough, 09 was about when I bought my SP1 carbine. Paid more than that but it did come with a Colt 4x scope. I think we both did all right on these deals. And even if not, I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying that you can never pay too much, but you can buy too soon.

They asked if I was riding public transportation, they said would put holes in it’s box and give me 20 rounds for self defense,I think they were kidding! That said had me pickup but took em up on the 20 rounds!
