This little pocket rocket is a gun that I have wanted and chased for a long time. The first time I ever saw one was when a friend (and mentor) @custom_handguns procured one and schooled me. He primarily focuses on 1911s built by legends, and he typically tires quickly of anything but, so I waited patiently to inherit his, but that Venry will be in his safe for many more years to come. This one was procured at an online yard sale after the passing of a well known collector. Beautifully checkered, with a Schuemann pipe, and cloaked in hard chrome, it was made by NJ native Venry D’Aiguillon out of Miami Beach Florida. He was known for outlandish “outside the box” radical builds. His shop was aptly named Radical Precision. He was a bombastic presence with a thick French Cajun accent and he was known for taking arrogant gunsmiths to task on the internet. His customers, however, loved him and were incredibly loyal to him until his last day. He died of cancer at 60 years old. I’m gonna say this again. To those in the industry and all of you who love to shoot guns, lead is a carcinogen and a neurotoxin. Don’t eat or smoke at your bench, use lead wipes and/or lead soap on your hands after you shoot or handle guns, try not to shoot indoors, and for the love of God, get your lead levels checked annually. How many gunsmiths on my page have passed away of cancer at a very young age. Answer: Too many. Ok off to work.
I hope you shoot this, it is not just a work of art, it is a tool.
And it is why I buy a lotto ticket when the pot reaches $500MM, I’d get one of these first, the French maids would come second ( Hey, I’m old).
