from 1911_purview

Approximately one year ago I found this un-checkered stainless series 80 on the internet. It was made by Tempe, AZ gunsmithe Dave Mullins, AKA “Glockmonger”. I’m not exactly sure why but it spoke to me. I didn’t know a single thing about the man, but I gathered from his online posts and his obituary tributes that was kind of a bombastic dickhead, who was highly talented, supremely funny and dearly loved by his customers. So here it is, a seemingly nothing 1911 made by a virtual nobody. But, it standsfirmly on business. It runs like a scalded dog, Is it a high end 1911? No it is not. So why do I love it so much?
