I might’ve said this before, but an Aristocrat or simular rib on a 1911 is, regardless of functionality, aesthetically displeasing to me. To put it another way, that gun may well be a tackdriver, but jeez it’s fucking ugly.

I hate them too. They look awful. Never cared for the rib on single barrel shotguns either

I always liked the vent rib on a shotgun but some of the extra tall trap ribs look goofy
