Hatcher wrote several books, the most popular among shooting hobby folks is “Hatcher’s Notebook.”

The following are Hatcher’s other books that I can remember off the top of my head:

    • Book of the Garand
    • Textbook of Pistols and Revolvers: Their Ammunition, Ballistics and Use
    • Machine Guns: Part I, II, and III
    • Textbook of Firearms
    • Firearms Investigations

Back in the day the .38 Super was pretty much the goto semiauto round among my crew here in Australia, as the accuracy was claimed to be much better than 9mm. I can remember getting a CZ-75 in 9mm back around 2006, and everybody looked at me as though I was nuts.

Times changed, and most people now shoot 9mm, though there’s still a pretty big Super contingent. And most IPSC guys use the super here.
