From 1911 Purview

Sick of BE guns yet? Sorry, not sorry– we’re going till we’re done, and we ain’t even close to being done. Up next, a Springfield Armory 1911 in .45 ACP by Joe Chambers. No, not the Joe Chambers in Crete Nebraska, the Joe Chambers who was the National Guard Marksmanship Training Unit armorer. Yup, there are two of them. This precision instrument ain’t pretty, but it’s HARD fit with a Kart barrel and bushing, the later of which feels cemented in the gun. This precision tool is shod in orthopedic grips by Steve Herrett. Bullseye forever.

IMHO, some of the recent spate of BE guns have been, to quote a friend, “ugly as a hatfull of arseholes”. This one looks positively pretty by comparison.

Can I plead for a nice Smith revolver to ease the pain? A model 15? Or a nice Model 41, which I will never be able to own due to John Howard, the so called conservative motherfucker prime minister, curse his name, who banned all handguns starting with a 4 over here.

He has been on a real kick of showing his bullseye collection recently and there is about another week left. I’m not a bullseye gun aesthic fan myself either so I am in just as much pain as you
