Those Vietnam war MCI ( “C-rations” ) must have gotten old really fast. Some bright spark decided to make up a little cook book for the boys. I suppose some firebase situation would have given them time to whip some of these up.

LOL indeed!
The ham and eggs were equally despised amongst my little group of skeptics, but at least those cans were smaller. There was a school of thought that if you had a can of something everyone liked like peaches or pound cake, you could trade yours for two or three that nobody liked like ham and eggs or ham and limas, and got more food that way. I went to a different skool but whatever.
