Springfield Armory in .45 ACP by machinist turned gunsmith George Gouger out of Eugene Oregon. George’s father (also a gunsmith) died when he was 16 years old and his brother died in Vietnam, so in high school GG moved to Detroit Michigan where he met and trained with a gunsmith of some renown named Lin Alexiou–aka Trapper. He moved back to Eugene, Oregon in 1984 and opened up George’s Willanette Gunsmithing, where he has remained ever since. At 6’6, he stands out on the range, where he helps train next generation’s shooters, while simultaneously performing minor gunsmithing. The stainless .45 features a Bomar rear sight and match grade Kart barrel, shod in Gaboon Ebony grips by Wood Caliber.
