Its been a good season so far this year. I got behind because of the extreme heat that lasted into September. That was rough. But I am back to the numbers I usually am at for this time of year. 42 is my current count. Its been a beautiful couple of weeks with one day last week I got the daily legal limit in about 2 hours.
Died so fast it didn’t even drop the acorn.
I’d hunt those little guys with a .22. Is there any specific reason you use the shotgun?

yes, 3 reasons/ 1. its safer in the mountains where the hollows are full of houses and I don’t like shooting down hill towards people’s homes or over ridges where people live on the other side with a rifle. 2. I can take more shots with a shotgun and can take other game like birds and turkey when they are both in season with a shotgun 3. and most importantly, I love hunting them with my 16 gauge
