My Brother pick up a Taurus 1911 Commander and brought it by today. The gun has most of the things that factory 1911s come with these days. Action was really gritty and tight at first. So tight I was surprised. After about 50 rounds it loosened up quite a bit. Sights are a sort ofContinue reading “Taurus 1911 Commander”

Tom Selleck’s 1911 “Magnum 4”
Pretty good video. This average guntuber ( meaning kinda lame) was able to get to use and shoot one of Tom Selleck’s 1911s. Some good history to go along with it.
Griffin & Howe
After I posted the pictures of the G&H customized Model 70 of Karl’s the other day I got several comments about the mount and rifle on social media and here. I guess sometimes I forget that a lot of my audience is not of a certain age to know what G&H was/is and what theyContinue reading “Griffin & Howe”

130 Yard Shot
I don’t know what it is, I just know I had to do a little shooting at a head sized target at 130 yards as a comparison. Maybe I just wanted to see how I could do at age 47 with not so good eyesight against the best the feds and the MK Ultra programContinue reading “130 Yard Shot”
Winchester Model 52E
Karl shared this rare one. the 52 was made in 1976. This is a single shot only made from some of the parts still in the factory. Very limited run.
Winchester Model 52
The Model 52 Winchester is regarded as one of Winchesters true masterpieces of the ancient world. It came about after the United States’ came back from WW1. At that time a lot of returning vets had grown to like the bolt action rifle over the lever action guns used for many years. Thought up asContinue reading “Winchester Model 52”
H&R Retro Pistol Brace
Hey, this looks pretty good. A decent looking “brace” from H&R ( PSA). If you always wanted a CAR15 clone without the NFA being involved, this is a decent looking solution.
Python & Ivory
Check this beaut out. Karl is sharing with us a vintage Python with carved Ivory grips.
Winchester Model 72
I picked this up last week. The Winchester Model 72 is one of the two Winchester vintage rimfires I have wanted for many years, The other being the Model 69A. Both come with peep sights and are essentially the same gun except for one thing. The 69 takes a detachable magazine, the same used byContinue reading “Winchester Model 72”
