Just before the old site died, I did a Retro Review of Marked For Death. Now we are back in the world of Steven Seagal and that world is a crazy, corrupt place with dirty cops and even more dirty politicians. There isn’t much we mere mortals can do about it. The good news isContinue reading “Hard To Kill”

“Well there’s some good news and there’s some bad news. The good news is you’re right, I’m a cop and I gotta take you in. The bad news is I’ve been suspended and I don’t give a fuck.” Cop is a 1988 film starring James Woods (AKA The World’s Greatest Twitter Commenter) as an LAPDContinue reading “Cop (1988)”

The episode The Hit List and the scene below, in particular, was the moment every serious shooter in the 80s made Miami Vice “must-see TV”. At the other end were the exploitation action films and just the trash. Platoon Leader falls into the exploitation/trash end ofContinue reading “Platoon Leader”

Today I am talking about another Swedish masterpiece. The rape-revenge-exploitation movie, THRILLER – A CRUEL PICTURE. The film starts on an upbeat note showingContinue reading “Thriller A Cruel Picture”
